2001 United States Mint Set – Includes Sacagawea Dollars and State Quarters
The 2001 United States Mint Set features uncirculated examples of every circulating denomination produced by the Philadelphia and Denver Mints. This year continues the highly popular 50 State Quarters Program and includes ten State Quarters—five from each mint—honoring: New York, North Carolina, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Kentucky. Packaged in its vibrant Original Government Packaging (OGP), the 2001 Mint Set maintains the modern, full-color layout introduced in 1999. The official mintage for the 2001 Mint Set was 1,116,915 sets, according to the official Red Book.
In addition to the ten State Quarters, this set also includes uncirculated Lincoln Cents, Jefferson Nickels, Roosevelt Dimes, Washington Quarters, 2001 Kennedy Half Dollars, and the 2001-P and 2001-D Sacagawea Dollar. The golden dollars continue to add visual appeal and modern significance to the Mint Set lineup. Each coin is sealed in the Mint’s protective cellophane to preserve sharp strikes, bright luster, and full mintmark visibility.
The 2001 Mint Set is an appealing choice for collectors thanks to its vibrant State Quarter designs and the included Sacagawea Dollars. As one of the early sets in the State Quarters era, it remains a foundational part of any modern Mint Set collection or State Quarter series build.
